Signs of Lung Cancer and Screening Tests
Lung cancer is a serious disease that affects many people
Life Imaging has received many interesting questions, some about our StartEngine campaign and others about our efforts to become the solution to preventative care.
In this article, we aim to take a deep dive to answer several frequently asked questions to provide clarity regarding customer and investor inquiries to provide deeper insight into Life Imaging’s raise as well as our FDA-approved EBTC scanners.

Is the Preventative Screening for Heart Disease and Cancer Covered by Insurance?
Unfortunately, the screening is not covered by insurance. Insurance will only be used for treatment when an illness is shown.
Full body scans can cost thousands of dollars through insurance, but our packages are just a few hundred dollars a scan, making our body scans incredibly affordable. Plus, our scanning protocols are straightforward, don’t require any contrast or dyes, and only take a mere five-ten minute of your time.
Our goal is to have Life Imaging around the world so anyone can have access to affordable preventative care, and by doing that, we can save lives every day.
How Long Does It Take to Get a Scan?
Our FDA-approved EBTC scanners can easily detect signs of diseases before a patient shows any symptoms sometimes decades ahead using only 10% of the radiation of a normal CT scanner.
Before the start of the scan, you lie down on a bench, possibly in a specific position. The technician may use pillows or straps to ensure that you stay in the correct position for long enough to get a quality image. You may also have to hold your breath during brief individual scans, which last only 10 to 20 seconds.
To start the scan, the technician moves the table — via a remote from a separate room — into the CT machine. The CT machine looks like a giant doughnut made of plastic and metal. You’ll most likely go through the machine several times.
After a round of scans, you may be required to wait for a few minutes while the technicians review the images to ensure they’re clear enough for your doctor to read. The whole test shouldn’t take longer than 10 minutes.
Do You Have to Take Your Clothes Off or Wear a Gown to Get Scanned?
No! At Life Imaging you get to keep your clothes on. However, we do ask you to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing for your exam.
Metal objects including jewelry, eyeglasses, dentures, and hairpins may affect the CT images and should be left at home or removed prior to your exam. You may also be asked to remove hearing aids and removable dental work.
How Much Radiation Will I Interact With When I Get Scanned?
Our state of the art GE CT scanner uses a low dose software and has less radiation than you get walking around on the planet. It is very safe.
The new high-definition CT scanner from GE Healthcare is producing clearer images of the body’s internal organs, bones, and soft tissue while reducing potentially cancer-causing radiation exposure compared with older machines.
Why Are There Not More People Doing This?
The test is relatively new, it’s not part of standard guidelines for heart screenings—and not all insurance plans cover it.

But it’s apt to be used more in the future, as several studies comparing it with other tests have shown its effectiveness in determining the risk of cardiac events.
For now, ask your doctor.
